What to include in a anniversary gift basket?
Posted by: | CommentsI want to make a gift basket for my parents for their 23rd anniversary. I plan to make one for each parent. Any ideas?
I’ve 2 recommendations :
1) You know, a framed art print would make a great anniversary gift.
I know of three great art prints, which’d make a great gift – they come with a choice of frames and papers – and the print quality is excellent, I know this personally
So I’m providing the links to them under sources.
Lastly I’m also providing a link to some exceptional art prints – again they come with a choice of frames and papers
2) A photo-sculpture of a favorite pic! : I’ve come across the product where you upload your favorite pic and your Photo is then Cut Out from durable acrylic to Create a One-of-a-Kind special gift / keepsake, a photo-sculpture! Thats not all, you may Choose 5 forms for it : a Sculpture with Stand, Magnet, Pin, Ornament, or Keychain
Telethon for UYAs 10-Year-Anniversary March for the Recognition of the Armenian Genocide
Posted by: | Comments
Who: Unified Young Armenians, Inc. (UYA)
What: Telethon for UYAs 10-Year-anniversary March for the Recognition of the Armenian Genocide
When: Sunday, April 4, 2010, from 3:00pm 1:00am
Where: AMGA Ch. 280 – Globecast and AABC Ch. 284
Why: Unified Young Armenians, Inc. would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our loyal sponsors, community members and other supporters. For over a decade, UYA, a non-partisan, independent grass-roots youth organization, has been dedicated to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and Genocide awareness programs, as well as a protest in commemoration of the anniversary of the atrocities in Sumgait in 1988. Other year round programs include: our free Armenian language, history and culture classes for underprivileged children, educational forums and debates, our annual youth leadership conference, to name but a few.
April 24, 2010 marks the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and we are once again privileged and honored in organizing the March in recognition of the Armenian Genocide. This year, the purpose of the March is perhaps of bigger and of deeper significance than it has ever been before, for it will carry a greater message than ever before. As you may know already, The Armenian Genocide Resolution H.R. 252 passed recently, bringing us one step closer to justice. It is yet another indication that we must carry on our fight and work even harder so as to accomplish our goal.
As you are well aware, organizing a march of this caliber takes months of careful planning, sheer dedication, numerous sleepless nights, and an immense financial responsibility. Due to the financial and budgetary crisis, we expect our expenses to increase approximately 40%. City fees that were once waived will no longer be paid for.
These are crucial times and this year, more than ever, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are, therefore, calling and relying upon you to take a more momentous and serious action. Let’s Once Again Send a message to Ankara, Washington, Tel Aviv, London and those who are still in DENIAL!
Please join us on April 4th, 2010 with your moral and financial contributions.
You may send your financial contribution to: 1110 Sonora Ave. #106 Glendale, CA 91202 or make a secured online donation:

What did you do/get for your girlfriend for your one year anniversary?
Posted by: | CommentsMy girlfriend and I are both 20 years old. Our one year anniversary is coming up soon and I want it to be special. I’m certain I want to take her out to a nice place to eat that day. But I’m torn between getting her some kind of nice jewelry, or personalizing something like an engraved picture frame.
I still have a little over a month to plan everything out, so I’m not rushed or anything. What do you think? What did you do for your one year anniversary?
Well, my boyfriend got me a white-gold heart shapped locket (gorgeous!) and put picture of us on the inside and had the back of the locket engraved in fancy letters:
1year
I Love You Baby
It was really sweet
I wore it everyday (until the chain broke
But i’m going to get another one soon
:p)
