What is the best entertainment for a 50th wedding anniversary party?

By

I am having a 50th wedding anniversary party for my parents at my home and i would like to know what is the best type of entertaiment i could look into… HELP.
ALSO,
My house is big enough to accomedate 50 people but they would have to be seated in different rooms… would you recommend a tent or in the house?
THANKS!

We threw my dad a 1970s 70th birthday party at my sister’s house. She has tons of "public" space in her house but not all on the same floor, so the guests were spread out.

- One room was set up for the kids to play in.

- the bar room was, of course, where the bar was

- the dinning room was for the main food

- the living room, den, and deck were for just hanging out.

To tie everything together we had all the TVs playing the 70s music channel on cable

For my parent’s 50th, I hired a band that plays music from the 1940′s and we had a dinner dance and wedding cake that looked like their original cake. I also setup a display of my mother’s wedding gown (so tiny in the waist that I couldn’t fasten it on the mannequin!) and pictures from their lives together. We had the party at their country club. There was a 4 course dinner and then dancing, including several Paul Jones dances. They had a marvelous time. Just make sure your parents would enjoy this type of event. My aunt and uncle didn’t want a big celebration and went on vacation instead!
